EVENT | Lush Beauty Blogger

Helloooo!

Last Friday I was soo kindly invited to attend Lush's, in Birmingham, first beauty blogger event which, as expected, was full of bloggers who all share the same passion. As this was my first event, I was very anxious and nervous as I did not know the full 'ins and outs' of what was to happen. However, my friend Amy who I went with, soon introduced me to all the Birmingham bloggers, and to name some; Hattie, Gemma, Clare and  Emma- were soo welcoming and general lovely girls. I had such a lovely time and everyone seemed to really enjoy themselves; I was in my element!

In addition to making loads of new beauty blogger friends, the lovely staff at Lush had liaised with a vegetarian restaurant, 'The Warehouse Cafe.' We had a talk from the lovely lady about the philosophy of the food and how it is similar to Lush's: very ethical and Eco-friendly as both try to take full advantage of everything they have, and religiously recycle to not cause harm to the environment.

 Lush also talked through skin care products that cater to all types of skin. They demonstrated different type of cleansers, toners, and moisturiser. The demonstrations were very informative and showed exactly how they help care for your skin. The Lush team gave us the chance to try the products, after choosing what is most beneficial to our skin. They illustrated exactly how we should use the products and the motions of how to use them. The pictures may be fairly scary as many of us had our make up removed to correctly use the cleanser.

Also, they created the 'Catastropic Cosmetic' which is a blueberry scented, clay-like face mask. Again. it was incredibly detailed and showed us the ins and outs of their products which does not include potentially damaging, harmful chemicals.

We were given a goodie bag which contained a cleanser, 'steam tab', moisturiser and a sample of the 'Catastrophic Cosmetic' they made, which were all tailored to our skin type. I cant wait to try these products properly!

My brother and I, both with very sensitive skin, however I have dry and he has oily, both tried the 'Ultrabland' cleanser and we both like the results, however the butter like texture is hard to get to grips with!

When I got the chance, I took advantage of the beautiful displays that they had and the typical Lush design that sets them apart from anything else!
