Hello Again!
I am soo sorry that I have not blogged for a whole week! I give my sincerest apologies and have a couple of upcoming posts that I hope you are all excited to see!
Anyway, I thought I would give an insight into my make up bag that I use day to day. In my bag, I have tried to cater for all types of occasions because I do not want to be stuck in a situation where I am about to go for a meal after college, with nothing but a bare face and plain eyes; of course, this is more than enough but personally I like to add a little bit more of a night time!
My bag is fairly large and over sized and I do have more than enough inside it. I am aware this may be too much for some of you, which is respectable, but as I mentioned, I like to be safe at all times! The bag is waterproof, to a certain extent, both inside and out. I like having these types of bags because I can clean them much easier and not have to worry too much about getting make up all over the interior. It was pretty cheap at just £4 and can carry near enough all of my day-night collection of make up! It was from Primark but I am sure other places, or even eBay, sell bags much similar.
As yoou can tell, I have two foundations in here, one being L'Oreal's 'Lumi Magique' and the other a sample of YSL's 'La Tiente Touche Eclat' (which may I add is my next high end purchase!) These foundations are both very build-able and are very brightening which is perfect if I need to spend a full day out of the comfort of my home collection! Also, for my base, I like to keep two highlighters which are either day wear or night wear appropriate. I have 17 'Glow' which is a lovely powder formulation which I wear during the day if I want a pearly highlight- or I use Benefit's 'Highbeam' for the night time. I like to keep my contour and bronzer the same so I use Sleek's 'Contour Kit' in 'Medium'. This is great as it is matte and looks good with my complexion. I have a concealer that I can layer up during the day which is high coverage and set all my t-zone with Rimmel's 'Stay Matte' powder in a lighter shade. This continues to highlight the high points of my face as it sets the make up and brightens the area. In addition to this powder, I can also set my make up with Benefit's 'Dandelion' face powder which doubles up as blush as it is very sparkly and very light.
I like to keep my eyes quite simple during the day and then smoke it up later on the night. I have included a 'Smokey Eyes' palette, which is more than enough in addition to my Naked 2 Palette, which I have done a review on here. These palettes cater for both a everyday look and evening look. I also have a primer for my eyes to ensure longevity and two different types of mascara. I have these two which are both very volumising which is great if I do not want to hassle with applying false lashes. I keep my trusty Shu Uemura Eyelash Curler at the ready, and you can see why I love it here. And just to throw on my eyebrows, as such, I like using the YBF eyebrow pencil because it is quick, easy and very controllable.
Finally, for the lips I stick to two main products. The night time and more of a vibrant colour I go with this to add colour and a pop, where as through the day I stick to this Lancome Lipgloss which is peachy and not sticky in the slightest.
TTYS,
CLB
